Now on the Pomegranate Blessings shop is artwork created by the amazing Tzfat Kabbalah Artist Avraham Loewenthal.  I originally met Avraham when my husband and I were engaged and traveling together on a Mayanot Birthright trip to Israel. What's behind the name Pomegranate Blessings?

Blessing So I've had a few people ask me why I decided to go with the name Pomegranate Blessings for my business and I wanted to write it out to explain it the best!  The word "blessings" may be obvious, I wanted to convey what I sell and also to give a bit of meaning so I will mostly discuss why I chose the word "Pomegranate." Why does a Hamsa give good luck?

The Hamsa Hand or Chamsa is a Jewish symbol that depicts five fingers and serves as a methaphorical reminder of the Hand of God.  The word Hamsa, חמסה (CHAM-sah), is an Arabic word meaning five, which is derived from the same root as the Hebrew word for five, חמש (chah-MESH).
